I'm not going to be fooled into believing this. It simply does not make sense.

How come?

There is no information that supports the author's claim. Also the VGChartz sales data for Fire Emblem Raidant Dawn is incomplete.

There is no way FE:RD sold poorly.  Yes, it was on the Wii but the series has slowly but steadily been gaining steam in the West among core gamers.  I hope you guys didn't overtrack this game, atleast not by a lot anyway.

I think the sales figures got mixed up. I think it was in Japan that the game sold under 200K and selling 300K in the US. That's my guess

Where the f*** do you get those numbers ? Over 300k in Japan ? That's stupid.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn was released on February 22, 2007 in Japan.
And accordind to Media-Create's top 500 for 2007, it has 'only' sold 159k in 2007 (during a period of 10 months).

Famitsu confirms that with 172k for the year 2007. (In its equivalent top 500 for 2007).

Its first week was around 70k, which means it has sold around 100k the 10 following months.

It would need to sell 130k in 6 months in 2008 to reach 300k. One year after its release. When sales are usually nearly dead for this kind of game. Non-Sense.

Plus Famitsu has released a top 100 for the first half of 2008, and no Fire Emblem appears in it, meaning that it has sold for certain below 66k. 300k, even shipped, is impossible for that game.

I don't know if the news about Nintendo not releasing Fire Emblem DS outside Japan is fake or not, but those numbers sure are.

Oyv translated it wrong.

It says it sold more than 200K, and has shipped close to 300K. Simply poor translation.

It's a bit odd that he did this, as it is worded almost exactly the same way on the almost 200K thingy.

The numbers at VGChartz are
Japan America Others Total
Total Sales 0.17m 0.36m 0.00m 0.53m

where did anyone saw that this game was overtracked in Japan?
And half a million without PAL sales included. If i was nintendo i wouldn't release this game in japan without localized it first for an American and a PAL release.

Fire Emblem is selling great worldwide so i will take this info with lot grain of salt.

P.S:The official JPN site for fire emblem doesn't say anything about the news the thread maker tell. I smell a lot of bullshit coming from this thread.
