Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why you should buy a DS. 56k Warning.

Under RPGs, you can toss in Shiren the Wanderer (although it seems only a few of us like it...). Castlevania: Order of Ecclessia sounds like it should be on the list, by all reports. N+ definitely does. Ditto for Soul Bubbles. I also haven't met a pinball afficianado who didn't enjoy Metroid Prime Pinball, but then I haven't met a lot of pinball afficianados either...

Updated: Added Shiren the Wanderer, Castlevania order of Ecclesia and N+.

URGH, it's really pathetic that I own well over half of these

A list clogged with remakes, sequels, ports and multi-platform titles isn't very convincing. I'm considering picking up a DS and it's games like Pheonix Wright, Professor Layton, Hotel Dusk, Planet Puzzle League, Meteos, Kirby: Canvas Curse and Elite Beat Agents that interest me.

...

You're new to this whole "gaming" thing, aren't you? Let me be the first to welcome you...

Although I have to admit that you've got taste. You've named a lot of my favorite DS games in one foul swoop, so well done! (no sarcasm)

Sorry, but how many new IPs does the PSP have? Or any home console for that matter. Sequels are pretty much 75% of the games that come out. Then there is the DS that has plenty of New Ips as well as sequels and remakes. I like how you say this while the PSP gets tons of Wii and PS2 ports(MoHH2, GTA LC Stories) remakes(SO1 SO2), and sequels/spinoffs(Gow:CoO, FF7CC). There are new games though like patapon , and Loco Roco, but the PSP like the DS or any other recent console has a library of ports, spinoffs, sequels, remakes, etc. As for new Ips the DS has plenty like Twewy,Etrian Oddysey, Rune Factory, Soma Bringer, Sigma Harmonics, Black SIgil, Dementium, Moon, Lunar Knights, Professor Layton, and tons of others on and not on this list.

WOW! Lots of great games...

Awesome, DS + PSP + Out-Doors = Pure fun on the go.

DS Lite seems to fit me best so far, i'll wait till the DSi though just to see how that one is.

dont buy a ds now!!!! its too late...might as just wait till ds2 holiday 09 (total prediciton) :p

Too late?!? It's never too late to buy a DS. It has a ridiculously good library AND can play GBA games as well. As far as RPGs go there's no better system and I'm more and more leaning towards calling it the best game device ever.

I do want a new Hotel Dusk real bad.

Your wish is likely to be granted...
