But wouldn't then people buy the the other consoles as well as the Wii because of the price? Sorry, what I mean to say is that you're making assumptions that the sales of the competitors will rise if prices fall when it has been proven that price drop doesn't affect sales this gen (See $250 360)

Yes, Seriously dude the price is not a factor. Why else would sales of xbox NOT increase despite them being priced below or at the same price as the Wii in certain regions. People want something different, unique and new, not the same old system that does the same damn things their last system did.

The Wii will drop its price before PS3 hits anything near $300, if that occurs at all within 2 yrs. Which it won't.
