I have two intro sequences which hold a soft spot in my heart. The first comes from Total Annihilation, an RTS game from ten years ago. It was groundbreaking for its time (though it was unfortunately overshadowed by Starcraft), and has a fine spirital successor in Supreme Commander. This intro was basically the back story, followed by a badass action sequence.

By contrast, my second favourite intro, Twilight Princess', didn't come along until two years ago. The visuals are a bit simple, and the horseback riding echoes Ocarina of Time's intro, but in this case, it's basically the haunting music that makes the whole thing.

one of my recent faves is the intro to no more heroes, it sets the mood perfectly and is a great intro to travis and the style of the gameplay and visuals

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)
