Forums - Sony Discussion - Bad press for sony and "Fat Princess"

This is not bad press. In fact, Sony might sell more copies if they put "Feminists hate this game" in the PSN blurb.

That's not really a joke, by the way, as I personally have at least some sympathy with the feminist agenda. But it's fair to say pissing of black people (a la RE5) has a very different effect than pissing off feminists in the public consciousness. It's like the difference between insulting all Christians and insulting PETA: both may technically consider themselves righteous, but pissing off the Christians is going to get you burned, while pissing off PETA just makes the millions of PETA haters more likely to buy your game.

I have some sympathy for some versions of the feminist agenda and for some parts of the PETA agenda, and think that many "haters" would lose in direct argument with most active feminists and PETA activists, but what you say is nonetheless true.

aye we really do live in a society where nothing even slightly controversial can be said or made, oh well

"We have sort of become a nation of whiners."

My mom calls me a Fat Princess..........

Saving a fat princess is a little different than a White Guy shooting up an African village.

And both of these situations are blown out of proportion by people who have life so good that they can afford to take time out of their day to bitch about how bad their life is, on the internet.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I guess I'm missing something. Does this game make any gross generalizations about fat women, other than implying that they are heavier than thin women? I'll have to ask my wife what she thinks about this, she isn't fat, but she is pregnant, so maybe she can clue me in to why this is such an issue.

Feminists and taxes make God cry

Listen to the voice of reason, then do as I say.

God and I have something in common.

I would like to see a vid of what it looks like when she scarfs down that cake. Does anybody know if there are any vids of this game yet?

I visited the forums on IGN, and though the feminist are hating all over this game, it seems to be getting nothing but positive feedback from gamers.

One writer even declared it to be the game of E3 in his opinion.
