Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why do you have a wii?

Awesome controls.

The good shooters are few and far between, but I beat RE4Wii at least 5 times, beat all the minigames/sidestories, and got a fully upgraded infinite ammo handcannon. And it still didn't bore me because the controls were so good.

Like, I play Halo 3 and Farcry on my friends 360, and it just feels... primitive, 'sall. I'm just hoping they come out with more good games for the system.

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.

I bought a wii because...

  • its a way to share my interest in video games with my wife
  • I feel better about teaching my son to play video games on the wii than any other system
  • Mario Kart
  • Super Smash bros
  • Wii Sports
  • Mario Galaxy
  • Twilight Princess
  • Super Paper Mario
  • Wii Fit
  • I have historically liked most Nintendo first party games
  • It plays my GCN games
  • Virtual console
  • I think the controllers are cool

Well unlike most of you, Im a guy and I'm born with a wii.

Because I am a PC gamer and the only next gen console thats actually worth it for me is a Wii because it's the only one with games that aren't just worse versions of what I already have on PC.

hrm.... I don't seem to recall Uncharted, GT5:P, Warhawk, and MGS4 coming out on PC...

OT: Actually, I'm not really sure. I had played one at a friend's house and kind of liked it (my sisters loved it) then one day I'm getting out of work and they call and tell me Walmart had four of them, so I went out and bought it. Haven't played it in ages though...

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

huh? being able to aim with something approaching real-time accuracy seems primitive?

I fail to see your logic here....

I have enough amazing games RIGHT NOW, that if I never buy another Wii game, my purchase is more than justified. Some of the best games of ALL TIME are available on this console.

I don't think he means the exact games, but you could find games very similar to all of those. I don't know about uncharted or MGS4 though.

Uncharted is basically just a highly polished Tomb Raider/Prince of Persia-type game. As for MGS4... well, you could just watch a movie. =P

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
