Which was 17 months ago and the I was comparing WW sales which the gap between them hasn't changed.

 

 

 But you were comparing Ps3 WW sales to 360 WW sales when 360 had 3 regions worth of sales extra for 5 months than the Ps3 had at its Japan and NA's launch.

Kinda silly to compare that. You should compare them both at full strength.

Have you guys seen the numbers? Xbox 360 only went up 1 million difference, first year was 6 million, second year was 13 million (7 million difference), what about the third year? 22 million (9 million difference)? and no, I was not counting december during Xmas holidays, I am counting from release date in NOVEMBER before the peak of the sales.

PS3 started almost exactly like Xbox 360 in sales with 6 million its first year, then guess what? it already surpassed 13 million EASILY before its end of the second year. I would say it finishes at 18 million by November, making it a 12 million difference compared to Xbox 360's second year which was a 7 million difference.

Some people just can't accept the facts. If PS3 keeps growing yearly. Xbox 360 has no chance of winning AT ALL. Truth~ Ps3 won the format war and Blu-ray is the future. No chance Xbox 360 will take SECOND this generation.

 

You guys who can't accept this need to get past your Denial stage and move on to the Acceptance stage. (the pyschological  stages of Xbox 360's death) buhahah

Pretty much all of you are saying people buy consoles for only when some big game comes out.Pretty much wrong.
I personaly bought ps3 when i had money.And my friend bought 1 because he liked playing with my ps3.My teachers bought ps3 for blu-ray.My sister bought it for PSN+ final fantasy 13.
So im huge Dmc 4 fan. I didint buy this then,i hadnt money.Few months ago i bought it.
And price drops also effect,479€ in here, with 80 gb sounds pretty damn good.And no need to buy enything else if you dont want.

Who in hell would buy Ps3 with bad games,699€ and still no confirmed that blu-ray wins?


When it comes to games, I think LittleBigPlanet will make people buy Ps3 to home.
Now you can play with it eny1 you want.
Wii has done this since beginning.
Xbox 360 is truying now,doing good.1 year too late.

And yess,Ps3 will outsell Xbox 360 next year,but only reason it outselss it so fast is because of Japan, and Xbox is gonan launch meny games for Japan...
So..We shall see.

Oh.And few reasons i didint buy xbox 360 is because red ring of death, MGS4 and Final Fantasys, network costs like hell and well i pretty much play FPS with my laptop.

That is a pretty general statement...you should maybe predict the time you expect PS3 tp surpass 360 in WW sales???  Predictions usually contain not only your prediction, but a time when you expect said prediction to occur...  It's ok if it doesn't happen on the date you predict, we won't kick you off VG or anything, but come on man, if you are going to make a prediction, at least put yourself out there, don't make a prediction that involves almost ZERO risk at all (especially since the general consensus is that the PS3 IS almost definitely going to overtake the PS3 WW, the only unknown is at what point in time).

FFXIII will move consoles, but in Japan. The series was always strong there (2-3 m). Now there are hardly that many PS3's, so expect an amazing boost.

Nope it won't because Microsoft is Awesome, the sales of the Xbox1 have been increasing by 50% every year and with a 100 year life span on the Xbox 1 I would expect its sales to fly past the PS3 sales sometime in 2057 maybe 2058 if theres a major depression between now and then.
