Forums - Gaming Discussion - Your the creator what would you do?

Wii is out and even though it is early, no one has really come up with something super fun and creative for hardcore gamers,YET. I know I'm not any kind of game creator, but doesn't it seem there is a cool idea you thought of that you can't believe never has been done. One idea I had for Wii would be an excellent online third-person action shooter. I know this sounds like Gears of War, and you know what, that's my inspiration for this idea. The major difference would of course be the control scheme. I would imagine something like tilting the wiimote to straff. Rolling the nunchuk over the wiimote to perform a roll. Flicking the nunchuk up to jump, you know basic stuff. Aiming would be much easier because of the 3rd person view, which seems like it would be extremely natural on Wii. I would like the game to be super fast, not letting the frame rate drop below 30 and besting at 60. It should have good graphics, but the emphasis would be on the crazy action and speed. I think the game should utilize some kind of turbo button that runs out after short use, but quickly recharges. The turbo boost makes you even faster and increases your strength and weapons u r using. You could create your own character and make them skinny or Schwarzenegger. Smaller people are super fast, but can't handle heavy equipment well without turbo. Big guys are slow, but of course not effected by the weight of more powerful weapons. Something I would like to see is some kind of hand to hand combat, or sword combat when u don't have ur guns. There should be a defensive style and an offensive one. Also unarmed people could be as dangerous as armed ones. I'm getting carried away here, but I think you understand my drift. What would you do? Note: Not just Wii, any system, just thought about the creativity with the controls.

I'd like to see a game like SPORE... but more... God like. You influence everything. You dont force anything. EG: you follow a race and 'influence' what they can and cant do by altering their world. And you set a few variables like... size, speed, agressive... etc etc. And as each 'evolution' you can only give it so many more points. (or remove so many points as well) EG: Your horse.. You cant turn it into a dog in 1 evolution. (like you can on SPORE) You would have to -1 size with each evolution.. and then +1 agressive... and +1carnivore. And as it gets diffrent points and changes... it evolves on its own. You just 'lead' it. You can alter the world and watch a world as things change on their own. (slowly and gradually) And there would be no goal in it besides whatever it is you want to do. There would be no space travel... etc etc. Just about creating the ultimate... whatever. And since you dont 'direcly' evolve them. What it eats, how it eats, how it hunts... etc. will effect what it will be. and then have some sort of battle system where you can pit them agianst others on the internet... Another Idea... and this has been done a million times... and I have a MAJOR love/hate with every one. Caribbian pirate games. I have owned *every* one of them. Most SUCK. Some are AWOSOME. I want to see a caribbian pirate game with a 'sim city' element in it. You start out as a privateer, doing trade, or whatever. and as you gain in wealth... you can 'control' your fleet, and 'sponsor' privateers to make you money. You could create a city of your own, build farms, harvest natural resources... build ships... charge to repair ships... etcetc. And not have a stupid end-date. Let it go on forever. Just because the age of pirates ACTUALLY ended in the late 1700's. Dosent mean it has to in a game. The ships dont have to advance. I want a sandbox where it never ends. At the end of the game you could declare yourself a nation, and wage war with the nations... useing your fleets of battleships. (and I dont mean you do it. I mean you tell your captains to go out and do it) I would Buy a console. (I have them all but 360. but I would pay 500$ for the console... and then 200$ for the game. Even if it's not the most beautiful game ever.) Basically a Caribbian empire game... that you have 2 aspects. 1. Privateer ship control and make money. 2. Mayor/King position and build your own city. Defend it from attacks, and get resources... build shipyards etcetc.

I'd make roadrash Wii. You'd drive with the nunchuck stick and bash the crap out of your opponents with the Wiimote. So far, to me atleast, Roadrash is the reason the Wii was made.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I like the super sim game idea Kwaad. I think Spore and/or Civilization will come to Wii. Aside from that.... A sim game that does not end. One that is online and based on civilizations anyone creates. There would need to be buffers for late adopters, but, kinda spore/civ like that is a true simulation of an Earth-like planet. Including all aspects possible, weather, many AI forms of life, full interaction meaning philosophy, military, theology, real reproduction (no need to be graphic, but, realistic), best friends, worst enemies. Literally everything imaginable. Web-based so it could rely on the servers and much less on the Wii itself. real-time to its purest. It could charge a small fee per month, but you could literally have a second life. I like depth in games.

An online co-op FPS..... one that actually plays well.

Seconded. I played far too much of Road Rash and RR2 on the Genesis years ago. It may not be a sim, but the Wii controllers could certainly make it more entertaining to play - and to watch other people playing. Swinging the chain could be done akin to the cow throwing contest in Rayman, and of course the punches and the baton. If they released it and handled the controls correctly, I'd definitely purchase a copy. Just ensure that the Wild Thing 2000 is in there, with the unlimited nitro code.

Idunno Resistance's Splitscreen CoOp was awosome... but not online. CoOp always sucks on games for some reason... I seriously wonder why. I rather good CoOp than online play. Great Online CoOp is fun, play it with your friends ETC. Very good question. (Staticneuron: check your PSN please) :) Also, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Sim Tower in nice shiny new 3D. (I hate goal orientated Sim games. I like taking the world over however it is that I like doing it... then blow it up or something, and do it again)

A few games I wish would be made: More online-split screen Co-Op games. Gears of War was THE BEST Co-Op experience I've had....Absolutely awesome. It took a good game and made it great. I would hope that one day we might get 4-8 or even 12 player Co-Op games like that. A zombie game similar to Outbreak, but in an environment that had more realilisim. IE, you play inside a city the size of (enter a sandbox type game like GTA), but have randon missions generated on a progressive environment that shapes to your abilities (like what Falcon 4.0 did). I think that'd be great....Waking up in a house with the rest of the world going to crap and trying to just survive for a few weeks. A REAL mystery game using some next-gen things. IMO, Bethsada should use their Oblivion engine and just make a mystery game w/o the violence. Personally, I have alot of fun with Oblivion just exploring. If they took the great engine, made a town and made it very intricate with mysteries and quests....That'd be cool. And finally, a truely massive galactic space turn-based game, like a Civ in space using the best power of a modern PC or 360....With gigantic space battles.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
