Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Godfather: Blackhand Edition Review...

A nice sandbox game, makes you wonder why a GTA game hasn't arrived for the Wii...

Gameplay: 8/10 Sandbox game... Nice one if I do say so. You go around a 1950's New York, stealing cars, extorting business, and killing off the rival families. The goal is to wipe out all the families, learn all execution styles, take over all buisinesses, take over all rackets, and own all the safehouses. I enjoyed the GTA style. You have plenty of options to change around your look, like visiting the barber to change your face and skin, or tailor for some better clothes. Lost points for not having enough creativity.

Controls: 9/10 WONDERFUL controls. Thrust the Wiimote and Nunchuck forward, you slam them into a wall. Point the Wiimote, aim a gun. Punch with Wiimote or Nunchuck, you punch. Pistolwhips, garrotes, strangles. All with fun controls. They are non-responsive at times.

Graphics: 5/10 IT MADE MY EYES BLEED! The faces were O.K. But everything else sucked.'

Story: 10/10 It's the Godfather,  but you can make slight changes. Don Barzini killed your father when you were a child, and Don Corleone takes you in years later. Your father was a close friend of the family. You evantually become the Don of the Corleone family. If you want a more complete story, watch the Godfather.

Characters: 10/10 Their cool. Godfather characters.

Yep, it is a great game that truly shows sandbox games need to be on Wii. The controls are perfect for it.

Looks like he was banned before he could finish his review.

Too bad, great game.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

The hand to hand controls are spot on with this game. A must for any wii collection.

In many ways a superior port to RE4
