Yes, but the American networks (ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS) were not carrying it live. CBC was in Canada.

this is why it SUCKS, 4 years ago I saw practically the entire thing in MEXICO[I went on summer vacation there in 04]

They will have 4 Iraqis there. The others couldn't be worked in the arrangement w/ the Olympic Comittee.

How do you not get NBC?!? Even people with basic cable get NBC. Its like a mandatory channel.
Yea its been previously taped due to the time zones. First chance for Americans to get to watch it in prime time.

The Iraq Olympic coordinator was kidnapped by insurgents and the deadline passed for admission back into the games before the archers and weightlifters could be reinstated.
PS: They got a good applause at the opening ceremony w/ a good clap by First Lady and President Bush. Iran got silence, btw.
