Man you need to get your facts straight. First it isnt confirmed that he did that but it is probally true. Second WWE didnt remember how he killed his own family, they remembered what a great wrestler and friend he was to everyone in the WWE.

Strange thing was, by every account by anyone who met him, he was an extremely polite friendly person.

It actually wouldn't shock me if Roid Rage was the factor, but he called his work, said he had to go home for family emergencies, missed shows, sends weird text messages that freak out people in the company, and is found dead on Monday.

I've never heard of "I need to go kill my family" as a family emergency. Remember, he stopped what he was doing in his professional life, something he had done for 20 years, to go off tour, fly home and murder his family if that's the case. Quite frighteningly premeditated if the case, or a good sign of insanity.

i see two factors in this one he worked for mr. mcmahon which seems to have alot of the wrestlers under his organization die. and the other is the massive steroid abuse amonst teh wrestlers. even though he denies it. but i think that is what set off benoit is he was so high on roids that something happend and he flew off the deep end and by sat afternoon he realized what he did placed the bibles then killed himself.

Scorptile: A lot of pro wrestlers die early. Injuries, drug abuse, steroids, no off season = increased use of drugs and steroids = more wear and tear on body. Hearts give up, and bodies break down a lot easier.

I agree that nobody should be honored for living a great life, if they end it with a double murder-suicide. I mean, Hitler unified germany, but then he ends up murdering tons of people. How do we remember him? (extreme example, but same idea)

Weezy: Perhaps just saying increased doesn't give the correct image of just how much some of them use. I think Davey Boy Smith was on something like 30 a day. 30 prescription pain killers. When 1-2 is enough to dull pain after surgery/knock most average people out.
