That's my explanation...Bad online hurt SSBB which it could do much better and move more units because its a fanbase community game. It's time nintendo do a good online service for their games.

Still as long as long as games like Mario Kart Wii outsell games like Brawl, the video game industry as we know it dies a little bit inside bit by bit.

Well, if Brawl had started at 30$ and Kart at 80$ things would be sooooo different! Also the new Brawl SKU with more items and more stages will crush Kart's sales, just wait and see!

While I agree that MK Wii will most probably outsell Brawl, I still think Brawl is the superior game. It did not innovate as much, but it still did. The gameplay between Melee and Brawl is very distinct. The sheer amount of stuff on that DVD is also worth it. I noticed that it has taken the very successful formula of Blizzard, very easy to pick up and learn and yet very difficult to master. Trash it all you want, it's still the game many people will be retuning to until SSB 4 comes out. My melee disk is the same one from all those years and I swear, the play times on it sometimes scare me.
