If you could go back in time - say back to the beginning of this generation (hopefully to make it simpler)  with your current evaluation of the present, what gaming purchase would you have changed with the knowledge you have today?

For me, I would have bought an Xbox360 in March 2007 instead of a PS3 - to hell with reliability issues I almost quit consoles entirely because I was that displeased with the content available on the system. I would have instead purchased the PS3 when I purchased my Xbox360 and my Xbox360 when I purchased my PS3. A year apart but this time in favour of the Xbox360.

So what about you guys? What decision would be the one for you to change if you could?

For me I would have never bought a Wii.  :/

I would never have bought a wii.... 250$ of untapped potential. If you count games, an extra 200$ of untapped potential. so 450$ of untapped potential.

Ermm, uhh, I guess letting my friends mess around with the VC store on my Wii and spending hundreds of Wii points on crap games. :p

I would never bought Incantation for Snes ( a shitty Titus game, I was young at that time ).
However I will always bless the fate that made me purchase Terranigma around the same time

Are you saying go back in time and relive the experience or just basically regret making a purchase and want your money back.

If later then any sequal I bought would prefer my money back for previous itterations and just keep the latest.

If going back in time, only thing I would have changed would be to buy pokemon for my DS earlier. PS3 and 360 still haven't gotten that "one" game that makes me want to fork over the money for them yet. I'm content still with my Wii games. I spend plenty of money as is, last thing i need is another 400$ deposit to be able to spend 60 more dollars each month.

If I could go back in time, I would say, "Fuck Gaming" and do great good to the world.

Then, I would go back again, disguise myself, and proclaim myself "Time Raven" and the greatest hero on the planet and continue to do enough good until I get bored and start doing fun stuff.

 For me I would have never bought Mario and Luigi: Partners in time. The game was terrible.
