Forums - PC Discussion - GTAIV for PC accidentally confirmed?

Expect to have to upgrade your PC yet again to play the next big game as usual. PC gaming is expensive and does not constitute value and that is why heaps of people are turning to console gaming. Having to upgrade computer systems every two years is not good at all.

Ignorance, ignorance, ignorance...

- PC usually hardcore gamers only upgrade once the GPU and RAM in their PCs' lifetime.

- PC gaming is as cheap as any HD Console, and if you buy lots of games, then it's much cheaper.

lol, I bet people will need to upgrade their PC's.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

I don't think you will need to upgrade your PC as long as your machine is capable of running the X360 games well. My machine is 3 years old and I enjoyed playing Mass Effect, Gears of War, Lost Planet, Bioshock and Vegas 1 & 2 all on the PC recently. Choose your components carefully and your PC can shall I say 'Stand the test of time'.

It's highly unlikely most people will need to upgrade their PC. GTAIV does not offer the same realism as Crysis nor does it seem that demanding when played on a console.

I am a Gamer... I play games and not consoles. I have a PC and Console on which I game... I like games. End of Story!

Does anyone seriously think this won't come out for PC? Anyway, nice trick.

Fazz was right :O

That would kill sales of console versions

why? Rockstar doesn't give a damn which platform you buy GTA4 for.

God why upgrade for GTA4??? First off Crysis is still by far more challenging game to run. Most PC gamers can atleast run crysis at some level. So if you can run gears of war, lost planet, pretty much any 360 game that got ported to PC they are going to be fine. For hell I won't be upgrading for GTA4, cause I will be fine running it medium settings if I have to. 7900GT hasn't failed me yet :D

As stated previsouly in this thread. Piracy is much higher on PC games than console games. If they release the game on PC it will be priated and they know it. Christmas is a big time for sales of all kinds. If its only available on 360 and PS3 that is what will be purchased. If available on 360, PS3 and PC many will just download pirated copies of the game for their PC. They will lose money, how much they will lose is almost impossible to determine.

But how many pc gamers own a 360 or a PS3? I barely know any other pc gamer that owns any of those 2 systems. If anything they own a Wii. So really I mean there will be piracy but copies will still sell on the pc and I doubt effect 360/PS3 sales
