It's been almost a month since the launch of patch 2.41 where trohies were introduced to PSN and I still have yet to collect my first one. This is simply due to the fact that I don't particually care for Superstardust HD which as it happens is the only game that supports them at the moment.

I uderstand that it takes time for developers to write the code and to make time for it between other projects that demand attention, however, you would think that Sony would have at least launched the update with more than one fucking game supporting it. As it stands a majority of the games on PS3 (even ones from their 1st party studios) are refusing to patch the games and others are taking a wait and see approach. Hell, even Uncharted (a Sony Studio) is getting them but it wll take at least 2 months. Big games suchs as GTA4 haven't even told us yet what they intend, and I have stopped playing them waiting to find out. Sony should have waited until more games were on board or paid for the coding themselves.

As a gamer who was really looking forward to this addition to PSN I feel sort of let down. This was supposed to be a moumental launch of a really neat system to reward you for gaming, but it has truly underwhelmed me in every sense of the word.  As it stands the only action my PS3 gets is CoD4 (which isn't getting them) and Blu-rays.

sony have stated that this is just the implementation, and many titles will be added to this feature.

very soon all new titles developed for ps3 will include this feature, the concept of a trophy system is the best around for your gaming acheivments.

It hasn't even been two weeks since FW 2.41, not "almost a month".  But I agree more games should add trophies.  I don't get why most PSN games haven't, it would be an instant boost to sales.

Meh, I never had high hopes for trophies anyways. They're better than I originally imagined but they still aren't as good as Gamerscore.

^Noticed I didn't say anything about the XMB . That should have been the patch and trophies added later when they had more support.

Don't get me wrong, I know that the games in the future are going to support them, however, this year is not going to have very many games with trophies in them.
Sony as a company is putting an awful lot of faith in people being willing to wait it out and not get disappointed while they do. It always seems as if they are asking us to "wait we're going to get better" and then we wait, and wait some more.

EDIT: MAy 30th is when 2.4 went live. 3 weeks at the least.

WTH????!!!!! MAY 30?? what world do you live in? It went live on July 2, then got withdrawn, then came back on July 8. (Ever hear of an obscure little website called Wikipedia?) 2 1/2 weeks. Also, do you know anything about programming and/or running a business? The stuff that gets them money (ie. new games/DLC) comes first and other stuff (trophies) come later. Programming trophies in is not an easy thing to accomplish either. You have decide what you're going to award them for, create the code, and then test it like hell to make sure it doesn't crash the game, brick the console, hack into NORAD and launch nukes at your home town, etc. All this takes time. Time that could be better spent making new games and/or DLC.

Bottom line: Wait till December. If trophies aren't rolling around by then, go ahead and complain. But give them more than 3 f****** weeks to make them. geez....
