So why is it that we find out Japanese sales every week right away, and NA sales every month...eventually?

Ummm... Japanese charts are tracked weekly, with the figures widely available. American charts are tracked/esrimated by the NPD group, and released once a month - a week or two after the month has ended. The figures are harder to find, and not as "publically" posted.

Some have suggested that it is because NPD is the only choice here in the USA, whereas in Japan, they have at least two tracking firms following the videogaming charts.



Thans ranzchic. What about Europe. I know that this site said they'd be adding European data, but how often does that come in, and how reliable is it?
