Forums - Gaming Discussion - I refuse to congratulate M$ on winning an E3 conference

As we all know m$ dropped the bombshell of FF13.

While we may each have varying opinions on the series as a whole, we do have a few related factoids that should be addressed and dissected.

Only ff13 and not the other two games in the tri-release is slated for 360 porting. Some have said Versus is the better of the three, but i have not really done any look into this yet, as ff is still far too long into the future, so ....

anyways, what of sony's involvement in SE? Isn't it true that they will be making money on ff13 games sold on xbox360? Won't they be saving about half a billion dollars in consoles losses due to 360 owners going multiplat for one game? (estimate: 2 million consoles at 200$ loss per console)

What else was mentioned?

Big nods to GeOW2 (let's face it the acronym GOW is reserved for the much better game)

And that Netflix deal is pretty cool although sony countered with direct downloads with all major studio support.

I think what is most interesting is that 360 is swinging towards the rpg side of the map, where ps3 is siding with cheaper games (great hits, r&C, plastic kung fu), and shooters.

(BTW i don't know why people keep calling the MAG 256 player game an mmorpg. It was announced as an mmo, as in massively multiplayer online, but it is an action fps,so please stop calling it that.)

FF13 was a big announcement. that said, i kinda doubt ff14 or anything past this one being multiplat. Plus GOW3 was announced. It is a very tough call, but as far as sony is concerned, i think this may actually be the best thing they could do for both the fans and the company.

No ones forcing you,
if in your eyes, you see Sony winning E3, then congratulate them.

360 IS OPERATIONAL AFTER 37 DAYS!

yawn...i think he's trying to do one of those top articles like the guy did a few weeks ago where he wrote the article where he refused to contragulate sony for winning the week when mgs4 came out.

Then, Don't do it.

Ur opinion counts too.

Sony hasn't won anything, they actually lost something! An exclusive! The biggest one in fact!

Oh and one of the other FF is for mobiles... and VS looks much better than the main game.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Not to mention the 360 has some FPS mmo's in the making aswell. MS really pulled the rabbit out of the hat with the FF13 announcement and thats a fact. But really it wasn't an amazing E3 overall.

This was a nice way to troll while attempting to use a cleverly titled news article as a cover. This falls short since the news article was pro-PS3 and this is just inane fanboy ranting.

They're only saying Vs. XIII is better since the XIII 360 announcement. What does that tell you?

9% share of S-E, at the moment. Yeah, Sony saves money by not selling consoles. Brilliant. They should get out of the entire market and save even more cash.

Half a dozen new XBLA games very soon. Copying your X360 games to HDD, Fallout 3 exclusive content, 2 new casual IPs, Scene It? #2. Tons of new info on Fable, RE5. Rockband time-exclusivity, GH3/4 exclusive tracks, and so on.

Big nods to GeOW2 (let's face it the acronym GOW is reserved for the much better game)

But not the better selling one, or more popular, right?

And that Netflix deal is pretty cool although sony countered with direct downloads with all major studio support.

For the price of 1 HD download on PS3, you can get all the movie downloads you want for a month for $1 more. Which news do you think is the bigger, better news? Its like Sony just announcing that their games are going to be on CDs when MS just announced they're going to DVD.

I think what is most interesting is that 360 is swinging towards the rpg side of the map, where ps3 is siding with cheaper games (great hits, r&C, plastic kung fu), and shooters.

And Microsoft just announced 3 casual, exclusive IPs. And tons of good XBLA games that will all be under $10.

Anyone can believe anything they want to. That doesn't make it true.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
