Indeed I did. It seems nothing has happened yet. Even if they ban this user now, I'd like to know why his comment was condoned in the first place.

Why does no one use the report button, or just send a PM to a moderator? These are the simplest possible things, and instead of asking a moderator directly, you felt the need to make a whole thread about this.

To answer your question, the thread was a bad idea in the first place and we can't blame the members for making inappropriate responses, especially since the premise of the thread was offensive in itself.

I have to agree mate this deserves a ban.
