No big announcements. Mic is nice, MotionPlus is nice, Animal Crossing is nice. Wii Sports 2 is nice but after umpteen million mini-sports games on Wii do we care anymore? GTA DS is a bit of a surprise (poor PSP) but GTA Wii would have been much bigger.

No storage solution. No core games. No surprise (of real substance). And still no games announced to the rest of the year expect AC??

OMG!, that's true, i had forgotten about that!!, no storage solution!???, why Nintendo?, why?

And you expected announcements of tons of new game announcements from a company that only announces their titles a few months in advance... why? I think this is just a case of people getting far too hyped off of Internet rumors. Thus why everyone's going "NO KID ICARUS NO PUNCH OUT SKREW U NINTENDO :( :( :( " in unison.

Anyway, I give it a 7/10.

+GTA DS

+Animal Crossing Wii online and out by the holidays

+Wii Sports 2 and 1:1 motion enhancement bundled together

+Call of Duty: World At War actually looking really good

+Microphone attachment

-No storage solution

-No first-party core games

-That Wii Music thing was hilarious

First party games is the reason I bought Wii, so no first party Wii games is -5 in my book. No first party DS was also maddening.

Nintendo's approach to gaming is applaudable, but it has become a bit stale. We already know that they made the biggest opening in the market by creating new genres, so this feels a bit like more of the same. High points of the conferrence were:

AC with wiispeek online.

GTA DS

WiiSports resort with 1-1 motions.

We were aware of Clone Wars, COD (Although it looked good.) Raving Rabbids. Nothing very exciting there, And WiiMusic did not deserve the last spot. It looked that no music better than elevator style is to come out of it. One core game could have won them E3. Be it Kid Icarus, Zelda, Disaster, Punch out or Starfox. Now as it is, Microsoft won points over them, although it won't show in sales. All the gamesninty presented will sell gazzilions anyway.

I've been a Nintendo fan all my life...and this is the frist time I really really wanted to own another console...(no prize for guessing wich one...)

1   2   3  not only you and me.

Livin' in sin is the new thing.

I thought their presentation was fine, Nintendo simply wasn't targeting the vocal hardcore gamer. I knew even before I checked online that pretty much the whole Internet would detest the presentation, and that the weeks ahead would be full of "Nintendo is destroying gaming!" rants. And... yeah, that's pretty much what I found. :)

What we're going to see is yet another demonstration of how the "hardcore" Internet denizens are ultimately a minor player in the gaming industry. This week, every major gaming website/blog will declare Nintendo the "loser" at E3, and write many many stories about how the Wii is slipping, and Microsoft/Sony are going to catch up. Everyone will then be mystified when the Wii continues to outsell its competitors exactly as before. Wii Music and Wii Sports 2 will both sell vastly more copies than any Kid Icarus or Pikmin game would do!

I don't even need to read the news, the reactions are so predictable it's just funny.

5/10 good overall show, but no real new games, no surprises, no trailer with snips of a lot of games.

Also... everyone who said "no big games." Can we quote this thread when Wii Sports 2 sells 5m copies?

I rate it a D...nothing good, all casual.

They talked about their sales figures more than games.

I would give them an F, but I've reserved that for Sony.

It doesn't matter how many games (GoW3, Team ICO, etc.) Sony announces, the loss of Final Fantasy XIII makes me rate them an F...

So,

360: A+
PS3: F
Wii: D
