I've read literally about ten people claiming to be selling their PS3's and buying a 360 because of this announcement, to me this is just pants on head retarded. It's still coming out on PS3, so it really doesn't make any difference if you have already got a ps3. I know that people who were undecided, or multiconsole owners may be swayed away from ps3, but if you read my post, you'll see that this is not the situation to which I am referring

Cuz apparently no one wants a PS3 because the only game it ever had that could have been remotely considered decent was Final Fantasy 13 (fuck versus that games gonna suck), and now they don't have to get a PS3 for it, so they'd rather sell they're PS3's and get 360's.

Maybe because people bought a PS3 to play GTA4, FFXIII, DMC4, SO4, and now realizes that they can play all that on 360 PLUS Halo and Gears and Mass Effect, they want to sell their PS3 for a 360? Is this so hard to understand?

I'm actually in the market for a second PS3 for $250 if you're sellin' hollah at me! :)

I'd be inclined to believe most of these who instantly declared "I'm selling my PS3" due to the FFXIII announcement are either overreacting and will come to their senses, or more likely, are full of it and never had a PS3 to sell in the first place.

Jumping platforms means selling off any games you've already bought as well for next to nothing. Unless you're in the habit of racing to finish new releases so you can get "maximum credit" from GameStop or wherever (these people don't believe in renting apparently), it's easier to just add another platform to increase future game options rather than cut them.

If anyone was actually buying a console for ONE game, a marginally sensible person would at least wait for the game to be released before buying the console.

After 3 weeks of no bites on Craigslist...my 360 sold today. Guess the fever paid off for me. Now I only have PS3...I made out pretty good today, thanks M$
