Is it because of how poorly the XBOX 360 sells in the land of the rising sun? Is it because you feel Microsoft has given them everything they wanted in JRPG's yet they still won't buy the 360? Or is it what most think is because they feel Japanese people are xenophobic and only support their own developed games and not americans.
It's not fair to hate on the japanese for only buying something they prefer even if it is japanese. I think it be weird if all of a sudden their electronics started looking more american brand than japanese brand name and that would be a threat to the japanese economy since they are based on consumer electronics and automobiles.
Maybe they trust their own brand name moreso than an american one. But it's unfair to say just because americans tried out and bought japanese consoles, that they should automatically try their type of gaming for a change and buy their console. Americans always say "why do they only play games with anime graphics and kiddy characters?" when i'm sure they say "why do americans enjoy so much violence and sports?"
In america, they think the japanese are weird for liking those types of games....even though americans USED to play those types of games too, that was until microsoft came into the picture and made american games patriotic and now they support them 100% of the time. I've watched those xbox live youtube videos, i've heard it myself.
Of course then they'll just say americans aren't xenophobic because they bought a Wii so in fact they still support japanese products so they aren't the same as japanese gamers.
except they only call the Wii a fun system to play with "friends", not a fun gaming system in general.
