How is an ad done properly?

I recently played a PSN exclusive title PAIN and noticed something new; a billboard in the background near the bowling pins, discretely advertising a movie called " step brothers. " I thought it was fake, so i decided to google it and found it, a comedy starting Will Ferrel. Its a neat idea if they do it like this, and won't turn to console annoyances. If everything is done good, i wont have to buy Sony ADblocker.

That sucks for PS3 fans, but you have to realize that Sony is desperate after the PS3 wiped out most of the profits made by the PS2. They need money, so they'll throw coke/monster/burger king ads at you all day to compensate.

Hasn't the 360 been receiving ads ever since launch, regardless of the source, and you're paying for it

It has advertisements on the blades, but this article is talking about in-game.  So long as it remains limited to billboards on the street, some character's t-shirt, passing a coke machine in a hallway... I probably wouldn't mind too much.  It really was inevitable that it would start showing up in games as soon as it became common in movies and on tv.  It should be good for Sony's financials so it's not a bad move for them, I just hope they keep the advertisers on a very short leash.
