Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Kotaku: Wii To The Rescue

Story about a reader sending a pic of his cerebral palsy afflicted brother enjoying himself playing the Wii.

Very heartwarming and an example of why Wii fans pull for this system to win so much. We like to see things like these and old people playing in retirement homes and families coming together. It's not so much about Nintendo but rather how socially beneficial this game machine can be.

(and for the most part the comment board was civilized and thoughtful)

Matt Clark has posted this wonderful photo to his Flickr photostream that is sure to warm the heart of even the most embittered gamer. Matt's brother Stephen was born with Cerebral Palsy and can neither walk or talk. But, with the help of a Wii and his relatives, Stephen is able to play a game of baseball against his little sister. There's not much more I can really say about this photo, it's all right there in Stephen's smile. Go, Wii!
