How many of those 2.6mil where Japan sales?

almost 2 million.

WHich makes me curious as to why they brought a game that is not very popular among the states like crono trigger here and not the KH game or FF?

Maybe they think that the DS can crack the US/EU market with the game for them. Unlikely but worth a shot I suppose.

No FF, KH or DQ because clearly S-E are sending in their second rate games to E3 and saving their best stuff for their own event.

Pessimistic much?

He is one of those people that will play FF but will avoid other JRPGs

You say that like it is a bad thing, FF is a bit more western than most jrpgs and if that is what appeals to him, let him enjoy his games.

But The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, and Star Ocean 4 to a lesser extent seem to be trying to appeal more to western gamers so that makes no sense.

Those games aren't out, when they are released, and there are 50 reviews out there for him to look at and see if they appeal to him and they still don't, then you have a small gripe, until then....

Remember Chrono Trigger were never released in Europe( well the SNES version wasn't)

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Considering Valkyrie Profile 2 got more game time from me last gen than any other RPG I beg to differ. I, however, do not like crap and call it like I see it.

And they said that there main platforms were PS3, Wii and DS. Well, I see DS there but for Wii and Ps3...

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Since everyone is entitled to their opinions, I will let you have your moment. As for me, I thought V.Profile 2 failed to live up to expectations and was mediocre at best. So either you have really bad tastes in JRPG's or you are just ill-informed. To call a game "crap" and call it like you see it limits you from trying out games that may look like crap to you but could change your mind in an instant once you try it out. A great example of this would be Zak and Wiki. I thought it looked like crap but once I tried it I realized how awesome it really is. "Don't judge a book by it's cover". Throw your ignorance out the window and keep an open mind. It'll do wonders for you.

My favorite JRPG of the last generation was Dragon Quest VIII and the generation before that was Xenogears. I know what a good JRPG is but its all a matter of perception. It's either you like it or you don't.

Chrono Trigger playable?

10 Bucks says they have a SNES set-up

The game comes out in Winter...it's no wonder they have it playable.

haha, it's just a joke guys

How did a SE thread get trolled by an FF fanboy?

Anyways SO4 being there is bigger than CT FF13 and whatever other inferior franchises SE has. Too bad it's not playable.

I'm not really surprised by this announcement though. Nomura did an interviewand said that they wouldn't be announcing much directed at the Japanese gamers at E3. They're saving them for their show in August...the problem with that is it will probably be a closed theater fest and we'll never actually see those games.

Still hoping they announce something new at their conference on monday, though...
