so I was playing the ranked games today and I was doing pretty good in a capture the flag match, when suddenly someone bans me.  I just thought it was someone running the server who wanted their friend in my spot so I thought ok it happens all the time when you play on other peoples servers.

I checked my score after I got banned from that server and it gave me 40 negative points.......

I mean wtf is that, you get punished because someone bans you from their server....

someone please explain this to me cause it really pissed me off especially since I am pretty new to this game and getting points is difficult

I thought you could only get a ban after being booted from a room a few times.

just a ranked player server,  I have never been kicked before though so it was frustrating.

Overall I like the game its pretty addicting, but I admit when I first started I got killed so many times it had me cussing up a storm.  Now I have started to get the hang of it and I really like the 16 on 16 hawk fights because it keeps everyone on equal footing and you arn't getting blasted by a missile from the ground. 

So official servers are ranked as well?

To the left there are pictures of trophys. The ones with a red line through them are not ranked. The ones without a line are ranked.

as to your banned question I have no clue never happened to me

Yeah official servers are ranked its where I play. The only time I am not in an official server is when I play with the vgchartz warhawk league.

Alright, so I did a bit of research. It turns out that yes, you do get a penalty if someone kicks/bans you from their server. That really sucks because the host has complete discression to kick people on a whim. There is nothing you can do about it, other then sticking to official servers. They have SCEA in their names or are blue, ask Dawve. They will only kick you for teamkilling.

Anyways, when you have Warhawk questions, feel free to post them in the Warhawk league thread. It will get more exposure to people who actually know warhawk.

for private servers you are pretty much at their mercy. Some of the best (vgchartz matches) and worst (teamstacking clans) matches for me have been on private servers.

I say stick to casual sony servers unless you join the league.
