metal gear Solid 5 won't be great in my opinion. Kojima said this is Snake's last game in the series. It will continue thorugh someone else. It would look weird to release another meatl gear solid without snake.

Konami and Kojima should remake Metal Gear (MSX2) and Metal Gear: Solid Snake (MSX2) for the PS3

It does... but will it beat Prototype to the market? Prototype looks like almost the exact same game... but better.

Two superhuman free roaming games where New York city is quarnteened and you have super powers that you upgrade as you go through the adventure....

I mean what were the odds considering there were no games like that before.

SOCOM i'd worry about.  That's a games fanbase that has been like the Unreal franchise... a lot of people being jaded, a lot of people staying with older versions.

Clearly all those games will sell well. I think that LBP wont have amazing first few weeks but it will have good legs I can see it selling 2-3 million. FF13 and FFV13 are gonna sell over 4 million each easily. Resistance and GOWIII are gonna sell 3million +, THese games will help the PS3 gain more ground in the consol war

@ OP .. you forgot Tekken. one of the best franchises to hit the tripleicious ever. Also it should be noted that Tekken 1 were the first ps1 game to hit over 1 million sold copies.

Gran Turismo 5 is going to absolutely obliterate God of War 3 in sales...

I know a couple of friends who are waiting to buy a PS3 for FFXIII & God of War 3. One friend who is a die-hard Xbox fan, (he only ever owned Xbox consoles) said he will get a PS3 for God of War 3 and possibly earlier for Resistance 2.

I think Killzone 2, Motorstorm 2, Gran Turismo 5 and Resident Evil 5 will be a strong system sellers as well. Resident Evil has mainly been a Sony franchise aside from the Nintendo GameCube remakes and RE4. Then again with GTAIV MS proved that software sales can be bigger even though GTA was always on Playstation first. It's definitely tough to determine the hardware boost the game actually provided.

As for Little Big Planet it's yet to be proven a system seller but all the hype surely has it at that level. I'm certainly very interested and I plan on buying it.

 The Metal Gear franchise has been a big seller for Konami and seeing as Kojima did say he's thinking about MGS5 before MGS4 came out as a fan of the series i like to see the old MSX2 games remade since they are canon
