well, it all depends on what they mean by that. If the discussion is different, like talking about digital distribution, then maybe. I would interpret t it as dickish.

I suggested he should keep his Ps3 and save up for the 360.

Immediatly afterwards I get jumped on by 360 fans. (One of them was mrstickball threatening to ban me for de-railing the thread)

no. youre being over sensitive and digging too deep to create problem. If 80 GB PS3's had a history of failing and teh 360 was reliable then its a welcome discussion.

The thing is, youre using past posts to judge relavent current posts. What those posters wrote is not "fanboyish" and its not trolling.

A dudes 360 is fucking up.....does anyone know how to fix disc drive? is there ANYONE who is going to post teh blue prints on how to solve this problem? No. What you are asking for is for everyone to post exactly what you want all the time....what those posters said is relavent and on topic to the user being frustrated and the problem hes having.....again, youre just stretching it too thin and creating problems.

Not saying there arent instances even perhaps with the posters you quoted in other threads.....but react to the post not the poster...as a mod, this should be the central driving rule for you to be impartial to post substance not predetermined judgements as you are clearly making by referring to the oosters as trolls when their comments arent trolling...

IMO, the reason this forum is out of hand is because the mods dont know how to mod and are too personally attached to speciific systems rather than just being logical grown ups....as evident by this thread for wanting to ban people who dont circle jerk to your xbox 360.

Times upon numerous times Starcraft comes in a thread about a ps3 game and starts talking about the superior 360 version.

He then shows links to metacritic and gamerankings as proof. (but convienetly leaving out the fact the Ps3 is getting lowered scores because of delayed release)

Even now we get 360 users bringing up the superior quality of old ass titles on the 360. Even if the discussion doesn't involve it.

I love all three consoles, but i love people's points of view of each consoles, and like to debate over the three.

like I said, it all depends on what forum its in.

game forum= ok (all is fair game)

MS forum= ok (we have to gloat about something after our consoles rrod, right?)

sony forum (is what you are implying= not ok.)
