I can't believe how topics like this will attract some serious flames. It's like being near a swamp with a bug zapper. You can just sit back and know some bugs are gonna zoom as fast as they can to their doom.

OT: The only defining factor owning either console is the game lineup. Also consider finances. If you can't afford a PS3, just save, if you are nutz about its lineup. Personally, gimme the 360.

great rpg's (lost odyssey, eternal sonata, blue dragon, mass effect)and more coming (fable 2, infinite undiscovery, tov, star ocean 4). that is why i bought one.

I don't think 'reliable hardware' is a plus for the PS3 anymore. RROD has been drastically reduced and the PS3 seems to be getting worse - look at 2.4, blu-ray drive failures, freezing on the internet browser and in-game, common hard-drive failures during installation, etc.

Also, vastly superior first party games is pretty much wrong. Third party exclusives are where it's at for the PS3 at the moment.

I only really lurk here to check out a few things here and there, some good information.

Other than that, this is probably one of the worst fanboy forums I have seen, EVER.

The real question is why buy a 360 over a PC upgrade with games like Starcraft 2 and Spore coming out.

PC > 360

Because the 360 is cheaper and you don't need an upgrade for games like Starcraft 2, Spore or Diablo 3.
