Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Halo at E3. Not talking about Halo Wars either.

http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2008/07/halo-update-cvg-haloe3-rumor-is-true.html

This article is conformation of a rumour that a new Halo title will be unveiled at E3. CVG arent the only ones confirming the rumour either. I found out about this whilst watching the news programme on Pulse gaming channel this morning in the UK. Althiugh Pulse said rather than Halo 4 being unveiled, It was looking like Peter Jacksons Halo Chronicles will be there to steal the show.

Their sources said if MGS4 is looked at as the start of fusing cinema and gaming together then Halo Chronicles certainly perfects it. They confirmed ( although we should take with a pinch of salt till E3) that  the same cgi and graphics team that workd on  LOTR trilogy films and  the  Halo 3 trailer below are  working on  the graphics.  And with world reknowned  Director Peter Jackson doing the entire dialogue and  cutscenes himself, without a doubt will be  a fusion to behold.  Lastly they mentioned  that the source  had said it is heavily cutscened  like MGS4. So will probably be more for fans, although Peter Jackson is obviously are far better director than Kojima.

Remeber none of this can be entirely believed till E3 has been and gone. Obviously there is alot of sources popping up with info now CVG, Sarc gamer and Pulse so it's looking more true.

It sounds awesome! Peter Jackson is an amazing director and the epic style suits his talents perfectly.

Halo Chronicles could be Game/Cinema crossover done right. :D

Tease.

Good luck trying to beat MGS4 then. Raising the bar high as far as game/cimematics go I see. looking at halo 3 they have a long way to go with getting graphics even close to as good as they are in MGS4 so good luck developing this game for 3 years or more if they can find staff as experienced as the ones that worked on MGS.

Anyway, a little ambition is a good thing so thumbs up.

Dude if the rumours are right the team the brought us the Lord of the rings films CGI are working on the graphics. Safe to say AWESOME. And you trust Kojima as a better director than Peter Jackson? It's your opinion I guess.

I love the LOTR games... Probably just because I am an avid LOTR fan... On Topic: I am getting tired of hearing HALO every year.

Heavy rain craps all over MGS4 in one little clip. The animation in MGS4 leaves a lot to be desired, like the empty Coffee mugs/Coke cans. This isn't thunderbirds anymore people!!!

It was a well made game destroyed by the director. Act 1 I was thinking wow, awesome game, Act 2 had me thinking about how high in the top 10 list of all time I would put it. Act 3 made me go "It'll get better in the later acts" Act 4 I was starting to hate Kojima and Act 5 I put the controller down in the last part of the game you actually have control before the epilogue. I couldn't stomach it. (Liquid has big man tits btw)

Kojima made and destroyed an awesome game. Peter Jackson has experience in making epic movies, so long as he has a good team around him and he listens to them I am positive he could make an excellent game.

--Stopped reading there. Kojima is inarguably a far better director and storyteller than Jackson. They are night and day.

This should be AWESOME!

Gazz, just no.

You were starting to hate Kojima by Act 4? That was one of the greatest acts ever - I honestly doubt you've played the game or any other game in the series.
