I bought it used a couple of weeks ago at my local gamestop. Wow this game is fun, from the unique KICKASS & HARDCORE weapons, to how the chimeara rush at you with their jaws wide open hoping to get a bite at you, to the really detailed atmospheric sounds of shrieks and nasty gooey stuff dripping on the floor, to the sacs full of something sinister throbbing with life... Also, how everything is grim with no hope in the distance since all of your AI buddies drop like flies (They die like feeble weak humans die), and all you see is the bodies pile up on the floor (and the mangled graphic corpses don't dissapear!) To the dark, wasted, devastated settings, littered with what was once bustling with civilians. Again, WOW, And the last level especially, was designed to look vast and grand (thats all im saying) Even though i bought it at a high price for a launch game, it was well worth it. And whats funny, people still play online, well just one deathmatch that i found, with 8 players lol. But This game is just great, and i can't wait to play the second one, since it looks like its gonna take step up in what were all gonna be able to see and do. THIS GAME IS AWESOME, R2 IS GONNA BE 60 TIMES BETTER! 
 

Yep Resistance is a great, fun game. I'm really looking forward to Resistance 2.

Yea I loved that game, online isn't too great anymore, but it is still fun for some co-op.

i am looking forward to R2 but i can never understand why people are soo crazy about this game, i like your description so i guess i'll run through it again. maybe i missed something

When I try and think about what I really enjoyed the game, it was definitely the weapons. Those are some of the most unique and fun weapons of any game I've played. That's the one thing that definitely makes the game stand out from any other FPS.

Resistance was okay. I loved the weapons and enjoyed the cheap scares (leapers and rollers popping up out of nowhere always got me), but the rest was pretty average.

The second looks to be leagues better, though, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it much more. The boss battles and online co-op campaign should be nice, and it looks like I'll be able to get into the multiplayer for once.

RFoM's multiplayer was too fast paced for me, tbh. I can't stand games where you spawn and die almost immediately.  The squad-based combat of the sequel looks to be much better.
