I have played almost everey Metroid game (if not all) and i like all of them (a Metroid fan here :P), but the one that i enjoyed the most is Fusion, i can replay it 10 times and not get bored.

So, Wich Metroid do you think is the best?

Super Metroid, it isn't only the best metroid, but the best game ever.

It's pretty obvious that it's Super Metroid (and anyone that comes in this thread just to state that they don't like Metroid is a flaming douche).

I've played all but the latest and I'd say super metroid followed closely by Prime.

Super Metroid is my close second favorite, i don't know why but i just love fusion.

I agree that Super Metroid is the best game ever.

The first time I played Super Metroid I thought it the best game ever. I downloaded it today, and thought it's still a good game, I don't know if it's as good as the prime series.

I guess I should give it credit for being so revolutionary for its time. Still, Prime 1 and 3 are excellent.

Super Metroid was supposed to end the series and that's my best guess as to why it's the best.  Also it's the last game Yokoi ever produced.

I'm going to shock most of you and admit that I never played the original Metroid or Super Metroid. At the time, I just wasn't into those types of games. I was a kid. What the hell did I know. Now the problem is if I go back to play them, I'm going to likely get bored. That's just what happens to me with most old-school games.
