Forums - Nintendo Discussion - A theory of why KH3 or FFVII remake will be on Wii

Soriku
was less than 13% done.
and square said they could port the white engine to the wii.
with little or no effort.

from what i read they are helping with the final fantasy xiii

I haven't played any of the games, so I didn't consider this old post in my theory.

When asked he said Final Fantasy 13 was 13% done... and Final Fantasy Versus 13 was 1.3% done.

Don't you get it?  13?

Besides which, the first thing they work on in square RPGs are the cutsceneses.  These are also the most expensive part of a square RPG.

If you've got most of your cutscenes done it's just too expensive to jump ship.

I am not agreeing with him, but can't the wii do cutscenes? Unless they are in-game of course, but I don't they will be.

Can someone tell me why everyone assumes they know which console KH3 will be on? I am a bit confused.

This is a company that took their franchise that was saved on a certain company's console to another company's console. I don't see why sony fanboys think it will be on the PS3? Has there been any links saying it was going to be on that console in the first place or did everyone just assume that? I am just too lazy to look it up.

For the Wii owners, I don't see your argument at all. The demographics are the same? Kinda hard for us to know.

Lets just wait till TGS to see what happens.

The Wii can do cutscenes... I don't think it could do Final Fantasy 13 level cutscenes by a long shot.  Considering the cost and effort it took to make them... it'd be quite a waste.

what the point of this thread?
KH3 or FF7 probably not coming untill 2010.

Now is only 2008.

Maybe these games are already in developement.
All i know, that after making Crystal Tools Engine for PS3, Square is not going to use it ONLY in FFXIII and FFXIIIv.
Just like with FF7:CC, KH:bbs or FF:Dissidia on PSP.

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

The wii and 360 also run crystal tools.

@Kasz Um I think it could run Pre-rendered cutscenes fine since they are pre-rendered. Anyway I think FFXIII is more suited for the ps3 anyway. Graphics are a really important thing in final fantasy for a while now, and I don't think fans would call for anything less than the best. That is why I think FFXIII is on the ps3 instead of the wii. In KH graphics don't really affect sales so I could see that being on the Wii.

of course it can do cutscences, but never like the ones of the ps3 and xbox360 can archive,
something nomura and hideo kojima like.
and it turns out square enix line up for E3 shows their main platform its not the wii.
though i am hoping for a super mario RPG for the wii.

....are you ignoring other replies? if the cutscenes are pre-rendered then they will look just as good (KHII intro and outro)

those things "can't" run on a PS2....yet they did
