360 for hardcore gamers? Most "hardcore" gamers I know own gaming PCs and I don't know anybody who owns both a gaming PC and a 360.

As of right now, it may only display interest in the hardcore crowd, but in time with a pricecut, the audience will be amended for the medium of both types of gamers. The games that it has now and the upcoming titles in the future will apeal to everyone so that both crowds can relate to them.

P.S. Bet: PS3 2009 sales will equal Wii 2008 total WW sales.

Sony domination will not happen this time. You can count on it. Nintendomination is already happening. By the end of this generation Wii will be THE console to own for both hardcore and softcore games (makes me feel dirty typing that statement).

The Wii will not do to the PS3 and 360 what the PS2 did to everyone else last generation.  The Wii does not cover all the bases so there will continue to be a battle between the HD consoles.  The Wii will certainly have sold more, but it's sales will not cause, and have not caused, developers to begin to prefer it for their all of their top games.  Therefore, owning only a Wii for many gamers will not give them access to many of the types of games they want to play.

I give that post a 9.6.

What's with all the video game racism??? Wii is for casuals and the 360 is for the hardcore crowd, etc. Why can't all of the consoles be for everyone and not just one specific group.

@rajendra...I have to agree with this post, there will be no such thing as nintedomination, nor playstation domination. The market is no longer linear, you have multiple systems that have different features. In order to have the best gaming experience, you have to buy both consoles (pswii) (wii60)...unless something drastic happens at E3.

How about PS3 the most versatile console. Due to its weight and size its much better than the wii and 360 as a:

-Doorstop
-Paper weight
-Weapon (you could seriously screw someone up with you bashed someone with your PS3 with the corner bit, try tapping your head with it and you'll know....)
-toe stubbing device
-Crushing device
-Weight for working out
-Bug/rodent squasher..... etc....etc.......

The list just goes on and on. Why limit the full potential of PS3 to just gaming?
