It's kinda hard to "man up" and "strike back" when you're temp banned for what one mod considers an infraction, and your "opponent" is free to continue talking shit without repercussion.

That hasn't happened to me, but I've seen it happen in a lot of other threads.  I'm not interested in the fanboy wars, but I would like it if the people in charge would either say "ok, let the fanboy wars rage on" or "sorry, no more fanboy wars", rather than this unknown quantity of "reason" that is upheld by moderators that may or may not be biased.

Mind sets like this are what is wrong with the fucking world.  Eye for an eye is kinda old fashioned isn't it?

Ah, almost forgot it... I totally agree with this thread's title, furthermore MS FUD is indeed getting old everywhere, not only on VGC!

I agree with both of ya, Kirby and Sansui.

You do realize that poll is 6-7 months old dont you?

You also know that there have been like 10 threads about it right?

You also know that since then MGS4 votes have sky rocketted... don't you?

MGS4 hasn't always had the highest votes. It use to be GTA 360 then GTA ps3 then a wii game.

People like to fuck with stuff like that.

Another thing people screwed around with that was exactly like that was the game rankings.

Same concept.

I think people like you voted for MGS4 so you could point it out and be like "lol MGS4 highest voted game lol"

No, I didn't know most of that. It says "Poll of the Day" so I assumed it was fairly recent.

To give you an idea of the poll 2 weeks ago MGS4 was  only 23% now its 26% 3% is huge jump in 2 weeks. hundreds of people had to of voted for it in that time.

And 3 weeks ago (http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=29520) the poll was at 20% and there was a thread before that one too. But I can't find it to see what percentage it was at then.

In the last 3 weeks 1,500 people voted for MGS4.

I swear people on these forums wouldn't survive on any other. I mean one little thing is said about something and then you all freak out and and act like it's the end of the world and only luckily have a moderating system than bans people for speaking there mind no matter what it may be.

Trust me on other forums where true debate is allowed, no matter how silly and nonsensical you might think it is, yall wouldn't survive. Have to know how to debate and argue things you think are the most stupid. And sure people are going to say things that are fanboyish are idiotic, but that doesn't mean you cry about it or take it personally. Ya strike back hard just the same way they did. Yet here nothing like that. It's a my way or the highway kinda setup and really just takes anything fun out of forum arguments. Oh man they called Wii a gimmick, or MGS4 bad, or made fun of Too Human. Shut up or man up is what I like to go off of. They have the right to their opinion and you have the right to tell them there's is wrong with a list of reasons. That's how it should be.

I definitely agree that people on this site can be a little to sensitive, but I really think fanboyism benefits no one, whether it is unprovoked or in retaliation.  Pretty much everybody just needs to chill out about people hating, and stop hating themselves.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Yeah, believe it or not crying "waaah the mods won't let me be a jackass to everyone I don't agree with" isn't cute. We allow a lot more on these forums than you'd get away with on any other major gaming forum on the internet. Most of them don't tolerate this crap, and they certainly don't tolerate moderator bitching. I'm sorry you're so pampered that you think you can act like a spoiled child and get away with it, but if you have such a problem please save us all the trouble and leave the site and don't come back.

This site is a little interesting when it comes to it's demographics. Most sites realize that the 360 has a lot to offer, but this site, or many of the users, seem very anti 360. I find it rather strange considering the 360 has a lot to offer the gaming community.

The 360 forum doesn't get too much negative posting. That's just basically all it gets, because the most active posters are people that are fans of the other consoles. If they weren't here to make topics, this forum would be even more dead than it already is. This is why I think the 360 forum is so dead all the time. After being on these forums here's a trend I see. The game owners most happy with their game selection seem to go in this order, based on the amount of bitching:

1. PC-Happiest
2. 360-Very happy
3. PS3-Kinda pissed usually
4. Wii-Always pissed

Now here's the order of activity in each of these respective forums, which can be seen by how many active topics there are:

1. Nintendo Forum-Most active and always flowing
2. Sony forum-Second most active and keeps a good page of active topics going usually
3. Microsoft forum-Sometimes active during conferences, but can't usually maintain over 10 active topics
4. PC forum-Lucky to maintain 5 active topics

Conclusion: The more games you have available the less you need to post on VGChartz.

Even starcraft, the 360 forum's most active positive poster gets about 15 posts in a day. There are multiple accounts from Nintendo and Sony fans that range over 30 a day. leo_j, Rock on 2008, Soriku, sc94597, pichu_pichu, etc.

Tag: Became a freaking mod and a complete douche, coincidentally, at the same time.

I think the FUD (which seems to be coming mainly from insecure Sony fanboys) is turning off the site to 360 owners who might have joined the site otherwise.

Unlikely; I know that reading starcraft's posts, and to a lesser extent, yours and others, prompted me to start posting here.

That has to be funniest logic ever. So that means on most forums outside of VGchartz, the Wii is always happy and 360 and ps3 are always pissed.

Even if I don't really like Leo-J because his constant talk about GT's review of MGS4, he is on this site because he is part of this site's community, same with the other people you named.

Edit: I also think Leo-J and Soriku are trying to get the most posts as possible.
