Sales tracking sites just guess sales numbers. No one knows what the real console numbers are. You have to read company financial reports to find the genuine sales numbers.Monthly sales numbers from different sources vary a lot. Genuine accurate weekly sales number on a weekly basis? lol.

Next Gen still have the PS3 at 10 million and the wii at 22 million.

That would be true Rock_on, except that anyone can read Nintendo and Sony's last fiscal earnings reports and see that nexgenwars' numbers are flat-out incorrect. When Nintendo states that they've shipped 24m units by March 31, and you're still placing them at 22m sold three months later, you're far outside the margin of error.

It is just an electronic counter for all three consoles. The PS3 and X360 sales go up by one per second. The Wii sales go up by two per second.

Their sales figures are simply a counter.  They speculate how many consoles sell per second and simply auto-update the counter on that basis.

This would be OK if they adjusted their timer to reflect recent financial data from the 3 console makers and notated their method on the main page.

The other issue is they are console hardware only, no software.
