What i mean by this is..

on one hand we have many parties complaining about how Zelda has been the same for way to long and they need to do something new.

on the other hand, many fans would cry foul at any Zelda that doesnt have the same master sword/hyrule etc theme

so, what will Nintendo do? can they possibly satisfy both halves?

They cannot possibly satisfy fans with a closed mind, and shouldn't bother trying. Just try to make an excellent game, something original (for Zelda) and fun and with variable difficulty. The money will be made back regardless of the naysayers.

i think it's about time link returns to Termina for another adventure away from princess zelda, the master sword, and the triforce. (and gannon)

if not termina, then start anew with a new area, plot, etc. etc. We can't always gather 3 gems, obtain sword, do temples, and then fight gannon.

Didn't they say a while back that Twilight Princess was like the fanservice, the big culmination of mastering the traditional Zelda formula? And then they'd try something new?

It was a direct sequel to Ocarina, but 100 years later, and gameplay-wise better due to IR aiming and faster spinmoves, and finally established that there are several heroes of time who can even communicate now (in my opinion the ghost swordsman is the ghost of Link from Ocarina, passing down the Link-skillz). They really tied everything together, so they can finally move on. I swear Nintendo said something like that a year or 2 ago.

What they need to do is to let Shiggy do what he knows the best, do awsome games :)

Make a Majora's Mask type of game that is both traditional and new.

I want it to be cel shaded.
