Forums - General Discussion - How will homosexuality will affect us in the future,Are you happy about it?

Well homosexuality is becoming increasingly accepted , where people were once afraid/too ashamed to admit anything other than hetrosexualness it's now more common to see these kinds of things.

My question is how will this ultimatley affect us , how much will it do so , will it at all ? And how do you feel about it ?.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as long as isn't offensive.

More homosexual guys means less competition for me when I try to pick up chicks! What's the downside to that?

Also, girl on girl sex= Totally hot!! This whole "Gay Planet" idea is long overdue!!

Homosexuality actually DOESN'T affect other people.  You know that, right?

Homosexuality isn't growing or spreading.

What's happening is people aren't living in fear of having their skulls bashed in by people who are even more uncomfortable and afraid than they are.  Fewer people living in fear is a good thing, no matter how you look at it.

Most mammals have homosexuality and bisexuality.  It's completely natural.

In humans, it's about 10% of men who are predominantly homosexual and 6% of women that are predominantly homosexual, meaning about 8% of humans overall.  These numbers don't count bisexuals.

It won't affect us.

It won't affect us at all.

I don't care.

I'm with Rubang. But I'll ad that we will most likely be better dressed in the future, and our homes are more nicely decorated.

Seriously, end of the vacation I'm moving and one of my housemates there is gay. Great guy, knows the best restaurants in Amsterdam. Plus, I secretly enjoy all the bitching going on in gay-friend circles.

Some of my best friends are lesbians.. it's great.. we are always trying to pick up girls... but honestly it won't affect us at all.. it's not like they will take over the world or start their own country.. there just normal people like everybody..

The only effect it'll have in the US(where I live) is that people will be more comfortable coming out earlier. In many places, including the region I live, it's not a big deal. I don't think it'll have any effect in the future beyond that.
I mean, you're either gay or you're not. It's not a choice. I don't see how a society that likes to think of itself as enlightened can continue discrimination against something as uncontrollable as a person's sexuality. The sooner we move past this kind of stuff, the sooner we can collectively focus our energies on things that are fixable.

I'd disagree , every choice we make "affects" others on an individual level it may not be as apparent however when a decision is made by masses it can't not have an effect on other people , i'm more interested in the way it'll affect others as opposed to whether there is any effect.

That's funny. Just a few minutes ago I was thinking:
"What's the title of this movie with Paul Scofield as Thomas More and Robert Shaw as Henry VIII directed by Fred Zinnemann again? After the horrible Elizabeth sequel I want to watch this great movie again but I always keep forgetting the title."

When I saw the thread I instantly remembered the name of the movie: "A Man For All Seasons".

Thanks@TC for the memonic, and btw: I'm not sure if your use of punctuation will affect me, but only time will tell.

I forgot! Well it will effect some of us... Has anyone been on the GayParade (a huge parade where gays dress up and go around town) in Amsterdam? It's gonna be bigger, better and gayer!! It's really funny.. you all should go! Best party in town..
