the hammer ons and pull offs are different in guitar hero than rockband on the hammer ons and pull offs in guitar hero you can hold the note in before the note scrolls down the screen but in rockband just like in guitar hero 1 and 2 you have to hold the button as soon as it crosses not before

I was really looking forward to rockband 2 but now i might get guitar hero 4 instead

Yeah, I guess Harmonix didn't change their game engine for a while. I think it's way more fun when you complete a solo in Expert while hitting all the Hammer-ons without strumming instead of strumming while doing them because you're scared of missing a note for a stupid reason like this.

I probably just suck, but as I know, with a real guitar, it's definitely more faster paced than Rock Band, like GH3 (and I'm 100% sure I follow the beat as well, but whatever...). :/

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

What? GH3 was significantly worse than 2 in my opinion. It had stupid non rocking tracks. To many current chart hits. Rock Band blows GH out of the water. It's far better with friends and is more diverse on your own if you have more than 1 instrument. Harmonix are the kings of the genre.

Uh...Rock Band has brought in roughly $275,000,000 for EA from the 360 version alone - that's the rough equivilent of a 5m seller. MS certainly has enough power, and reason, to get EA to do it (and a guy named Peter Moore).

Every other version of RB hasn't done stellar, unlike the 360. With the fact that the 360's version has a proven track record, I am sure that MS gave EA a cut somewhere - DLC fees (of which, the 360 version has probably made $20m or so from the DLC alone), accessory costs (MS could be making $20 from each unit alone), or something else.

Either way, it's a smart move for MS. The music market for games is huge, and Rock Band is obviously the best player right now.

I just read that RB2 is getting a Europe release in September as well. Thats for France, UK and Germany though.

Ok, can someone explain how long this exclusive deal is for the X360?

And why is there already a RB2 coming out? For me it feels it was just released (in Europe) and people just started to download songs.

Also, what's so special about Guitar Heor World Tour that it will own Rock Band 1/2?
