Dont get me wrong, its a great game, but why does a thread get you excited?

Pretty much any thread that discusses GT5 gets me excited. I don't know if GT5 will sell 10 million, but it will definately sell 1 copy (to me first day). And that's all that matters.

 

 

I've never played a GT game but it looks really good. Seeing that the series has sold a lot and that a lot of people have enjoyed it makes me excited because that's a really good sign.

 

I can agree with both of you on this one, but I brought the Prologue and it was too hard. I like the series now, but this game will definitely sell over a mil on day one

Over hyped?  It's a game that went from "Grand-what?" to "I'm going to check it out." 

Besides I've never played a lot of games I get excited about.  That's part of the reason I get excited.  XD

GT4 is still selling and in April shipped over 10 million copies. The least selling GT is GT2 which sold 9.37 copies!

I always like good games but I just got Star Ocean III a little while back and it's occupying me quite a bit!

i checked but the sales data isnt complete and its no where near 10m

It will sell probably end up a bit better than what MGS4 will sell life time. GT5 prologue did poorly in America (just like every racing game), so it means that the main market is Europe.
