LooL, these games were developed SIMULTANEOSLY, and were NOT ps3 ports.

THERE IS no ps3 games, which was released on PS3 only, and then ported to x360.

Well when you phrase it exactly like that then, no I suppose there isn't. Virtua Fighter 5, and Unreal Tournament 3 were both released on the PS3 before being released on the 360 though. Not sure why it makes a bit of difference one way or another though.

WTF?

VF5 is an arcade port, not ps3.

UT3 was also on PC.

Name any exclusive PS3 game, which was released ONLY on PS3, and then ported to x360.

There is NO such game, so what makes you think, that it`s possible to port from PS3 to x360, again?

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.

PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Where exactly did I ever mention porting a game from the PS3 to the 360? Where did I mention porting at all? What the hell are you babbling about?

They have ported games from Gamecube to PS2. They have ported games from PS2 to the PSP and DS. They have ported games from higher power to lower power consoles a lot. The difference between the 360 and PS3 is not that great. The great number of multi-platform titles that perform very similarly should tell you that much.

That NEVER happened with PS3 game, do you understand that??? Maybe there is a REASON for that? Can`t be done or???

They have ported from the PS2 to the DS. The difference between the two is much much much greater than any difference between the PS3 and 360. There are very few exclusives for either console, so I would imagine any exclusives are bought for or maintained due to desire to improve the business relationship between the two companies.

Yes, there is a reason for that... I think it's that Microsoft always managed to convince publishers/developers to do simultaneous releases on 360 and PS3.

This, of course, doesn't mean anything. Just because they did so in the past doesn't mean they'll always do so. It could go either way, but don't forget that most MGS games were multiplatform...

What is the point fo using devkits anyway?

They're special developer kits for a given console. They allow you to test the game, and environments out on the system your making the game for, without having to burn a DVD, and transfer the code that way. It allows for much, much faster translation and debuging of a game.

If by given you mean paid $20,000 then yeah, that's about right.

Twesterm, you're a developer; I assume that the dev/test kits can run unsigned code natively, but have never had occasion to find out for sure. Is that true? Or does part of the provided compiler or whatever also sign code for you?

Honestly, I don't know 100% on that.  I'm pretty sure they both can and they also have some other special things about them (like more ram) but I only chimed to mention that just because it wasn't black doesn't mean it wasn't a dev or test kit.

Part of me doesn't think that it's a test kit because I can't see the thing on the top of it but then I also don't know why anyone would have a random 360 in their office.  It's just a random cubicle so it's probably nobody important so it's not like they were doing research.
