It doesn't matter why people prefer a certain console.  Hell in the United States, Europe, and Asia everyone is buying a Wii- why?

Okay, this is just pathetic.

I am sick of Nintendo and Microsoft fans making thread after thread of the PS3's doom and pretend that it doesn't constitute trolling. This is locked.

The idea that PS3 sells better due to Bluray is not new, and unless you come with some data to bring it up then I don't really see how it matters. Hell unless you can show me that people buying the PS3 due to Bluray is detrimental then it's even more pointless to use as an excuse.

It's like I say the Wii is only winning due to the Wiimote. That's certainly a factor, but it's not the only reason and the other consoles making their own motion controller won't necessarily launch their sales into the Wii's territory. So the PS3 winning due to Bluray doesn't mean much because that's just one of the reasons people buy it.

 Yea, but that really didnt matter last year were the PS3 had less games than it has today.

 

Though you also have to consider that the introduction of the 40gb PS3 (what some would consider a $100 price cut) also played a major role in boosting the PS3 sales over the holiday.  I dont think that Sony is in a position to make a price cut this year after looking at reporting losses exceeding $1 billion in 08 (already).  The games will have to carry them this holiday.

To be honest I thought that BC was a big deal, the 40Gb came up, I was wrong, and now suddenly I'm right (According to them of course...), but I can't see a big bump like last week...
