According to this article the ps3 has sold over 12m since launch(Kaz Hirai  numbers). That doesnt seem to add up to what we have here(if they had sold over 13m then they would have said this not 12) Is this article old or something and only now got posted(it was posted today) although it sounds like there talking about the event that took place yesterday.

No fanboys this is a question I would like answerd thats all.

wow dude ,,,where have you been?,,,that number is for shipments by the end of march 08 which was released by sony last month,,, 12.85 milllion PS3 were shipped by end of march 08,,,vg had PS3 for 11.4  million Sold by end of march.meaning that more than one million PS3s were sitting on shelves across the world according to this site.
