I wonder what this means? According to VGChartz the Wii has sold 27.72M consoles. If true could that mean massive overtracking? When considering the 360 numbers (20M) and PS3 numbers (14M) they make sense when you think of how many are still on store shelves... but why a 1.72M difference for Wii?

Does Nintendo state their numbers as sold to customer or sold to retail? If it is sold to retail then there could be a possibility the Wii is hugely overtracked?

Also makes me wonder why they can't live up to the 1.8 a month claim they made quite a long time ago.

This has been posted many times. Just not all of these links. I think we should just wait until nintendo releases their quarterly statements to see if NDP and Vgchartz both overtracked it by almost 2 mln.

If he is indeed behind in the times how is he almost spot on with VGChartz PS3/360 numbers?

Likely he is using shipped numbers - from a month or two ago.

Since Nintendo is selling almost everything it's shipping, then VGChartz numbers wouldn't be too far off.
