I didn't say that it'd happen forever.  I said that everyone would be playing it.  Much like everyone was playing GTA IV when it just came out.  That effect is over, like the Gears effect will be.  But for the month that it happens, people WILL stop playing Halo 3 and play Gears.  So no "FAIL" here.

well it's dark because it's suppose to be war with ground dwellers.... and everything has been nuked... what did you expect ???? our cities in most part of the world are already gray now add to that a major world wide war with the tech we have... trust me you won't see much color else than the blood of the dead....

now I agree i'm getting tired of how they use UE3 because it's not the only color cue they have trust me... I guess it's just a trend amongst devs now a day

now saying UT3 has better graphics.... that's plain false... you guys must understand that being nice doesn't involved being technically better.... I can find you ugly ass real time 3D animation stuff that have technically more advance graphics than others that look way better... you are talking about art direction here not graphics itself... I'll stand by my opinion GOW 2 has better graphics than MGS 4 and UT3... it might not look better though.... but then again that's just a pissing contest.... who cares about that.... I have games with low graphics that I enjoy more than some with bad ass one

I don't know it's a bit more colorful, has reduced the highlights (GOOD), a bit vegetation and the background lighting looks different (in a blurry but not bad kind of way)

But I do not think I could say that it has significant graphical enhancements compared to Gears1. (Which is no bad thing, Gears one looked pretty awesome)

I think they will go more with more impressive scenarios, not substantial better graphics, similar to God of War 2.

Gears 1 is currently sitting on the same score as MGS4 on Metacritic.  Assuming Gears 2 is as good or better than the original, it could easily best MGS4.

gow2 on 6.5 gb look better than MGS 4 on 50 GB. You must be crazy.

If GOW2 graphics are as good as COD4, you will have one short single player game. Anyway, video is not that impressive. Looks the same as GOW1.
