To be GOTY, it has to win the most GOTY awards from all the major publications. BioShock and Portal won most of them last year.

Gears 2 looks absolutely gorgeous at the moment, more so than Gears 1, and all points to the story being much more deeper and characters with much more personality. Top that with the gameplay and multiplayer, theres no reason this cant be a contender for GOTY 2008 alongside GTA4 and MGS4.

I don't know about better, but the GOW2 screens look about the same, but with a brown/green filter, and a depth of field effect.

I think it looks worse then the screenshots i have of UT3. Maybe Epic can up the graphics more by the time the game comes out.

funny thing is that they are promising in your case MGS4 graphics well look at the first mgs4 trailer and compare it what a change it took this game will be better cos its still changing if its already par with mgs4 graphics it will be far greater in october
