duh it can control cruise missiles, the ds lite's main feature was missile control. the ds can control time though. it doesnt have unlimited power which is why the psp was leading the handheld wars for a while.

ID Engines are developed using OpenGL and open frameworks to allow them portability to anywhere you can fit them. This engine could run but is not limited to Wii, 360, PS3, Linux, Mac, Windows. I am more interested in seeing what games are developed using this than what it runs on though.
