Honestly its impossible to have a conversation with anything negative about nintendo, its automatically destroyed.

Well hating on Nintendo is like hating on the Beatles or David Bowie or Citizen Kane. You just have to live with the fact that you're basically nuts. Even if you don't love them, you have to respect them for revolutionizing their form of art and making it what it is today.

While I would have a very very difficult time hating on any of the things you mentioned (especially Bowie), they're certainly not above criticism. I find the defensive reaction in this thread nothing short of shocking. First it was: "Sony and MS are worse", then "it's actually an honour just to be mentioned by him" to "he is infallible".
Respect him yes. Blindly believe everything is Hunky Dory or Sgt. Peppers, no.
All the same, I really didn't take the article as that much of an insult towards Sega so much as it was him wanting a distinct style. Just that some of the 'auto-defense' was rather bothersome.

I didn't think it was an insult either. And I don't think he's infallible, but he's definitely in a different league than these younger loud-mouthed developers who are known more for their blogs than their games.
And I think if somebody were to take a game history course 20 years from now, about 50% of it would be about Miyamoto, 30% would be about the hardware advances, 15% would be about Will Wright, and 5% would be about everybody else.
And damn good Hunky Dory pun. It made me laugh and then laugh a minute later when I was writing this.
