There's no telling where he got that figure from (it could have been their March financials for all we know); combine this with the fact that the story doesn't even link a source for the information and we have nothing concrete to debate.

Where is the official source? The original article doesn't link to anything, and there is highly credible evidence posted in this thread that disputes the number. 24.5 million Wiis were shipper by March 31. 1.8 million have been sold in NA and Japan combined according to NPD and Famitsu/Media Create. Are you saying those firms are amazingly far off or that none were sold in Europe?

chill. there are not going to make a 1.7 million adjustment because random site says it is off.
VGC and NDP were on the same page for may, and there is no way it is off 17. million between Others for April and May, and NA for 1 week in June.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
