And what is so dificult to understand about this?  This is unlikely, but there are many scenarios where weekly (or monthly) tracking can show more sold than shipped.

Even if you are to believe those are exact numbers, the sold is off by 6.5%, which isn't too bad for an extrapolation of sold numbers.

Where is the announcement coming from exactly? famousringo brings up a really good point about the numbers. There needs to be a bit more evidence than this to change the numbers I think.

guys..this number probably includes only america and japan from the last 2 months (most likely scenario). 24.5 mil + 600k+700k (both NPD's) + 320k from 2 months in japan, ads up to about 26 million, or a bit more..

in any case, this 26 million number is totally not correct.

p.s , i'm taking raw figures here, too tired to check it up, i just wanted to make the point.
