1/3 = .33333333333....
1/3 X 3 = 1
.3333...... X 3 = .9999......
1 = .99999................
BTW I hate cold soup

personally, I am of the school of thought that .9999ect is 1, there is no difference. But some disagree. Honestly, I don't care. It's a frikkin number.

1) Well, not really, it's just an error that comes from using the decimal system. No system if perfect, as fractions can often look messy and it's sometimes confusing when working with multiple fractions (Anybody know's how to multiply two decimal numbers, fractions are not as simple).
2) That's what microwaves were invented for.
It works with fractions, not decimals.
